I'm proud to announce that I have been made the "Wedding Specialist" of the Heavy Hits pool. Heavy Hits is a membership DJ pool site that provides the best tracks for working DJs. They want to start attracting wedding DJs and got me on board.
I will be making playlists and writing blogs for the Heavy Hits DJ pool on an ongoing basis. We started with two general playlists. The first one is called the "Modern Wedding Playlist" and has tracks from 2000 to the present and the second one is called the "Classic Wedding Playlist" and has tracks from the 1960's to 2000.
I made these playlists with a beginner DJ in mind - or for one who is very specialized and doesn't have a varied music library. These are the tracks that your couples will request on a regular basis. You won't have to play them at every wedding, but you will at many.
If you're not a DJ, but someone looking for a DJ, let me explain that these are just songs I play at a lot of weddings, not all. Every wedding is unique and we will come up with music ideas together that match your style and taste. So if you see a song you don't like, don't worry!
I also wrote a blog for the Heavy Hits DJ pool about how to DJ your first wedding. It's meant for DJs who have some background doing clubs or events but haven't done a wedding yet. I think it has a lot of great tips. If it helps you out, let me know.
