I had a great time traveling up to Troy, NY to celebrate with Jackie & Anthony at their Brown's Revolution Hall Wedding. I went to college in nearby Albany and just being in the area set a party tone for me.
Brown's Revolution Hall used to be a rock club but now they specialize in weddings and events. The ceremony and reception were in the large main room and the cocktail hour was in the bar up front.
Their ceremony was held on the stage in the main room. It was really nice. Afterwards, everyone went up front for cocktail hour while the staff flipped the room for dinner. During dinner everyone enjoyed a jazz standards playlist I created with feedback from the couple.
After dinner we did the first dance and parents dances. Jackie's dance with her dad was a highlight because he is a great dancer. Next up we did the Hora and got the couple up on chairs to start off the dance set.
The couple have a classic taste in music so their guests danced all night to the sounds of Motown and 80's hits. I guided them in selecting the songs for their dance set and their guests loved it. It was easy to get everyone to dance because they were such a fun crowd. At the end of the night they were still dancing. A really great night.
